Webinar: Challenge and Change at the Annual Business English Conference

I just helped host the 33rd IATEFL BESIG annual conference on November 2020 for International professionals teaching Business English (sadly not in Warsaw but wonderfully managed by a global, agile team of Zoom gurus). 80+ presenters and 400+ registered attendees.

The conference featured engaging plenaries and talks on topics such as neuroscience and learning, intercultural communication, Six Sigma, and innovative pedagogical methods to support our clients and improve their soft skills. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from like-minded individuals worldwide, from India to Peru.

As a communication coach, I believe having a strong LinkedIn profile is essential for educational coaches, teachers, and trainers. To help other professionals in this field, I ran a webinar on "How to Create a Good LinkedIn Profile," attended by 186 people from all five continents, from Argentina to the Philippines.

During the webinar, we covered a range of essential aspects of creating a compelling LinkedIn profile, including first impressions, the representation banner, profile photo, titles, the about section, addressing client issues and their outcomes, professional URL, call to actions, background, professional organizations, features section, share and comment, colorful links/posts, link to the company page, spicing up past experiences, making qualifications enjoyable, and more.

I am grateful for the fantastic feedback I received, and I feel even more empowered to achieve my mission of helping professionals increase their reach and share their valuable expertise and skills with the world. Thank you to this dynamic and collaborative community for a wonderful weekend of learning and connection.

I’m seriously on a high and feel even more empowered to achieve my mission.

Here are a few other speakers that gave fantastic presentations.
