Empowering Voices: Reflections from Europe's Largest Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Conference in Paris
/After three exhilarating days, the largest Supplier Diversity & Inclusion conference in Europe has come to an inspiring close in Paris. What a remarkable event!
With over 650 attendees from 34 countries and more than 2,700 business matchmaking meetings between 250 corporate buyers and 250 diverse vendors, the energy was electric. I was thrilled to be part of this dynamic exchange!
Here are my key takeaways from the event:
š¶ Corporate Buyers: Approachable and Interested
One thing that became crystal clear is that global corporate buyers are not as intimidating as many might assume. In fact, they are incredibly approachable. They're eager to explore your unique selling proposition (USP) and excited to hear about innovative and entrepreneurial approaches: coaching speakers with a hybrid model. The buyers were also intrigued with my public speaking and my visual storytelling/visual communication courses.
š¤ Calling All Women-Owned Businesses
If you're a woman-owned business, now is the time to shine! Please feel free to reach out to me for a business update. I'd love to share my insights from this conference and help you get ready for 2025. Letās ensure youāre equipped to make a lasting impact next year.
š Proud to Be British (and Half Belgian!)
As someone with ties to both the UK and Belgium, I couldnāt be prouder of the strides the UK is making in leading the charge for supplier diversity across Europe. Thanks to changing laws, policies, and broader social acceptance, the UK is setting a powerful example for other nations to follow. Effective communication coaching will play a pivotal role in helping businesses seize these emerging opportunities.
š The Power of Connection and Collaboration
The most inspiring takeaway for me was seeing firsthand the power of connection and collaboration at this event. The bold steps being taken to drive supplier diversity across Europeāand beyondāare energising. Now, more than ever, executive presentation skills are essential in leveraging these opportunities. Whether itās through coaching speakers or offering presentation training, helping professionals articulate their value is key.
š Excited About the Future
I'm thrilled to now follow up with the fantastic connections I made and demonstrate how my sustainable digital tools and techniques for inclusion can help professionals make an even bigger impact when they present. These tools can enhance clarity, confidence, and inclusionāall elements crucial for effective communication in diverse settings.
This conference has left me full of hope and optimism for the future of supplier diversity in Europe. The momentum is building, and Iām excited to see where we go from here!
