Workshop public speaking: How to boost the public speaking skills of our Business English students

I was so excited to be at the Business English conference in Gdansk, Poland, surrounded by Business English teachers, coaches, academics, writers and publishers from all over Europe and far beyond.

My workshop was attended by 50+ experienced and motivated trainers all sharing a common goal:

To empower non-native English speakers and give them confidence in public speaking

I explained the importance of body language in public speaking, authentic communication and shared 3 public speaking goals:

·        Why, how and when to pause to add variety to your voice

·        How to stand to demonstrate confidence and authority

·        Why, how and when to vary your rate of speech to connect with your audience

We did 4 activities to put these presentation goals into practice.
